The Sanctuary covers meadow and moor land and a gravel pit. 3,000 trees and bushes to give shelter for the wind have been planted. The area of water covers 6 hectares.

The list of species is now 151 different birds, of which 64 have breaded. Furthermore, 25 different species of mammals, 7 different amphibians, 3 species of reptiles and 14 different fish have been registered. In all 200 species which is quite amasing considering the size of the Sanctuary.
