The 10 rural areas of Ringsted
Ringsted Municipality has a large rural area with many villages. The municipality was formed in 1970 from several parishes and therefore today consists of many smaller local communities, each with a strong association and community life.
This means that many activities take place, making the villages and rural areas attractive. Outside Ringsted/Benløse, the municipality is divided into ten local areas. Each local area is organized into local associations or councils.
