Høm Church
A few kilometers south of Ringsted, on the road to Næstved, there is a small church on the right-hand side, slightly set back.
It is said to be Ringsted Municipality's smallest church and also its oldest.
There is strong evidence suggesting that the church was built before the year 1100.
Medieval Remnants:
- Chancel arch crucifix from 1563
- Figurine group with Mary being crowned by God the Father
Other Notable Features:
- Door between the vestibule and the church room from around 1550
- Gilded altarpiece in bruskbaroque style from around 1700
- Carpet designed by Ulrich Røssing and woven by Mette Røssing in 1984
- Organ from the 19th century; acquired used around 1960
- Fresco – the only one: A key, possibly in honor of Saint Peter.
