Ringsted Medieval Festival
The scent of bonfires and food will fill the air around St. Bendt’s Church as we finally— and for the ninth time — host the Ringsted Medieval Festival in 2026!
It will be a spectacular festival, and the grounds will be buzzing with jesters, knights, musicians, and merchants.
Look forward to amazing fire shows, music, and theatre, and let the children play in the family area, Valdemar’s Workshop.
In the camp next to the festival grounds, visitors can step inside and see how people lived and dwelled in the Middle Ages.
The Ringsted Medieval Festival is a historical festival held in Klosterlunden in the centre of Ringsted. The festival was first held in 2009 and has grown steadily ever since. The most recent festival took place in 2024, welcoming around 15,000 happy visitors.
The festival is a collaboration between Museum Vestsjælland, Ringsted Municipality, the clergy group and parish council at St. Bendt’s Church, local associations, local businesses, local volunteers, charitable organisations, and the local press.
For children
The festival offers several activities for children — all of them can be found in the large family area called Valdemar’s.
