Ringsted town hall is designed by the famous Danish architect Steen Ejler Rasmussen and was inaugurated on 22. January 1938. The furniture and the curtains in the council chamber were also designed by the architect as well.
Inside the town hall a range of Inka wallpaper is to be found. The range was produced by Dufour and Leroy in Paris and was bought at an auction of wreckage around 1830 prior to the visit of King Frederik VI.
