The Square in Ringsted

The square is surrounded by cafés, restaurants, shops and banks, the latter providing the indispensable cash machines. The square has no fewer than two bus stops, making it easy to get to the railway station at one end of the town, and to RingStedet and Ringsted Outlet at the other. Of course, all these destinations can also be reached on foot.

From the square, there are views of both the historic royal church, St. Bendt’s Church, and the listed Ringsted Town Hall. The square’s design also incorporates a service building with, among other things, public toilets, as part of the exciting project supported by the Realdania philanthropic foundation.

The square itself is well worth taking the time to explore. Its unique design and meticulous craftsmanship have earned it the prestigious Paving Award (Brolæggerprisen).
