About Children's Festival
Children's Festival Ringsted is held every year in June.
When the The Children's Festival Ringsted takes place every year in June, all children aged 3–12 are guaranteed an unforgettable day. There are always more than 80 activities, great concerts, theatre performances, shows, and plenty of great music.
In 2026, the Ringsted Children’s Festival will be held for the 10th time. Since the first children’s festival was held on 11 June 2016, the festival has managed to bring the community of Ringsted together and create an unforgettable day for children of all ages. However, in 2021 the festival was held as a “to go” version. A collaboration between cultural institutions, schools, daycare facilities, associations, tourist attractions, businesses, and Ringsted Kommune has made the Ringsted Children’s Festival something very special.
From children to children
The planning and development of some of the activities at the Ringsted Children’s Festival take place through learning programs carried out in the city’s schools and daycare institutions.
The motto is that we create a festival for each other, and the theme “from children to children” is important in a time when both children and adults especially need to play and be creative together.
Sustainability and biodiversity
At the Ringsted Children’s Festival, there is a focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The festival creates a space for fun, educational, and entertaining activities that bring children’s learning into play in a creative and engaging way.
