Ringsted has a long and fascinating history, which can still be experienced in the streets of the town today. From the impressive St. Bendt’s Church and the historic town hall to the colourful De Mahlerske Houses and the distinctive Børsen, the town’s buildings each tell their own story about Ringsted through the ages.

Almost leaning against the cemetery wall of Sct. Bendts Church lie The Mahler Houses, located at Sct. Bendtsgade 5, parcel no. 83. Side by side stand a yellow house, built in 1865, and a red house, built in the 18th century, which together form a single property.
Ringsted's Town Hall was designed by the architect Steen Ejler Rasmussen and was put into use in October 1937, with the official inauguration taking place on January 22, 1938. Steen Ejler Rasmussen also designed the furniture for the Town Hall. The Town Hall is listed as a protected building.
In Ringsted Vindmølle, organic wheat, whole wheat, rye, graham and rye flour is milled, and the windmill is Denmark's only 'gallery Dutch' still in operation.
